Engineered to Protect Tiled Layouts from Sagging, Hollow Pockets & Debonding Failures

Conventional Cement Mortars

Traditional systems often suffer from:

  • Severe drying shrinkage causing rapid tile debonding and structural pop-outs
  • High water permeability leading to moisture seepage and joint efflorescence
  • Poor sag resistance making vertical wall installations highly difficult

Tile Xtraa TX 209

It is specially formulated to provide:

  • High-polymer molecular grip preventing tiles from sagging on vertical wall faces
  • Specialized non-shrink matrix that eliminates under-tile voids and hollow sounds
  • High water resistance properties ideal for wet-area tile backgrounds
  • Accelerated curing mechanism requiring absolutely no pre-soaking or post-watering

where to use

application process

Surface Preparation

  • Clean the floor or wall masonry substrate thoroughly to eliminate all dust, traces of oil, grease, laitance, and loose curing compounds.
  • Repair all structural cracks, deep crevices, and severe background unevenness with a polymer-modified mortar before layout execution.
  • Ensure that newly cast concrete floor slabs or cement-plastered walls are completely cured and stable before initiating tiling.
  • Dampen highly porous cement plaster zones lightly with potable water and allow the wet sheen to dissipate prior to adhesive laying.

Application

  • Mix the dry polymer-modified adhesive powder systematically with a measured quantity of clean potable water using a mechanical stirrer.
  • Let the smooth, lump-free adhesive paste mature inside the bucket for five minutes, then remix briefly before application.
  • Apply the mixed adhesive paste firmly onto the target surface using the flat side of a high-grade notched trowel.
  • Comb the wet bed instantly with the notched edge at a sixty-degree angle to create a series of uniform ribbed lines.

FInishing

  • Press the clean dry tiles firmly into the ribbed adhesive bed with a gentle twisting motion to guarantee absolute material transfer.
  • Tap the tile faces lightly using a rubber mallet to achieve uniform bedding layout thickness and true spatial alignment.
  • Wipe away any excess wet adhesive squeezing through the joint tracks instantly using a damp sponge or cloth.
  • Allow the completed tiled matrix to cure undisturbed for twenty-four hours before commencing tile joint grout filling operations.
