High-Performance Moisture-Resistant Gypsum Board

GIPSKARTON Moisture Resistant Board is a professional-grade, high-density drywall lining solution engineered for superior protection against humidity and moisture in damp interior spaces. Formulated with a specialized Gypsafe core containing advanced water-repellent silicone additives, it significantly reduces water absorption rates. Encased in a heavy-duty, distinctive green paper liner for straightforward moisture-grade identification, it serves as an exceptional structural shield that prevents warping, sagging, and mold growth while maintaining excellent partition stability.

Engineered to Protect Humid Spaces from Core Softening, Sagging & Fungal Degradation

Standard Wall Partitions

Traditional systems often suffer from:

  • Rapid moisture absorption leading to loss of structural strength and core softening
  • Severe sagging and deformation when exposed to high relative humidity
  • High vulnerability to mold, mildew, and fungal growth on the paper liner

Gipskarton Moisture Resistant Board

It is specially formulated to provide:

  • Hydrophobic core matrix that minimizes water absorption under humid conditions
  • High structural integrity to prevent sagging and bowing in suspended ceilings
  • Specialized moisture-resistant liners that deter fungal and bacterial colonization
  • Balanced material density yielding enhanced mechanical fastening strength in wet zones

where to use

application process

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure that the supporting light-gauge steel framing or timber stud layout is structurally secure, clean, and properly aligned.
  • Verify that all internal wall piping, waterproofing membranes, and electrical conduits are safely fitted prior to boarding.
  • Handle the gypsum boards carefully in a flat, horizontal position to prevent edge damage or core fractures before installation.
  • Measure the spatial framework precisely and pre-mark cutting lines on the decorative green surface liner for accurate positioning.

Application

  • Cut the moisture boards cleanly by scoring the front face paper with a utility knife, snapping the core, and slicing the rear liner.
  • Position the board tightly against the structural framing, leaving a minor clearance gap at the finished floor line level to prevent capillary water rise.
  • Fasten the board securely using premium corrosion-resistant drywall screws spaced in compliance with design specifications.
  • Drive the screw heads slightly below the paper plane without breaking through the protective green face sheet lining.

FInishing

  • Fill the recessed board edge joints uniformly with specialized moisture-resistant jointing compound and embed high-strength joint tape cleanly.
  • Apply a secondary skim layer of jointing compound over the tape and exposed screw heads to form a flush layout.
  • Sand down cured joint sections lightly using fine emery paper to achieve a flat, perfectly unified partition plane.
  • Wipe off fine sanding dust and apply a water-resistant primer prior to executing decorative paint, tiling, or texture finishes.
