High-Performance Fire-Resistant Gypsum Board

GIPSKARTON Fire Resistant Board is a professional-grade, high-density drywall lining solution engineered for superior passive fire protection across modern building designs. Formulated with a specialized non-combustible gypsum core reinforced with fiberglass additives, it delays heat transfer and withstands severe structural flame exposure. Encased in a heavy-duty, distinctive pink paper liner for straightforward fire-rating identification, it serves as an exceptional structural shield that reduces flame spread while enhancing partition stability and acoustic attenuation.

Engineered to Protect Interior Spaces from Rapid Flame Spread, High Heat Transfer & Structural Collapse

Standard Wall Partitions

Traditional systems often suffer from:

  • Fast structural failure and core crumbling under high thermal stress
  • Rapid heat conduction that accelerates flame migration into adjacent rooms
  • Weak structural integrity causing early wall collapse during emergency evacuations

Gipskarton Fire Resistant Board

It is specially formulated to provide:

  • Fiberglass-reinforced core that maintains mechanical stability under intense fire
  • Low thermal conductivity to significantly slow down fire propagation through walls
  • Chemical crystallization properties that release water vapor to cool structural systems
  • High weight-density construction yielding enhanced sound insulation alongside safety

where to use

application process

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure that the supporting light-gauge steel framing or timber stud layout is structurally secure, clean, and properly aligned.
  • Verify that all internal wall utilities, electrical conduits, and insulation materials are safely fitted prior to boarding.
  • Handle the gypsum boards carefully in a flat, horizontal position to prevent edge damage or core fractures before installation.
  • Measure the spatial framework precisely and pre-mark cutting lines on the decorative pink surface liner for accurate positioning.

Application

  • Cut the fire boards cleanly scoring the front face paper with a utility knife, snapping the core, and slicing the rear liner.
  • Position the board tightly against the structural framing, leaving a minor clearance gap at the finished floor line level.
  • Fasten the board securely using premium drywall screws spaced in strict compliance with the target fire-resistance design specifications.
  • Drive the screw heads slightly below the paper plane without breaking through the protective pink face sheet lining.

FInishing

  • Fill the recessed board edge joints uniformly with specialized jointing compound and embed high-strength joint paper tape cleanly.
  • Apply a secondary skim layer of jointing compound over the tape and exposed screw heads to form a flush layout.
  • Sand down cured joint sections lightly using fine emery paper to achieve a flat, perfectly unified partition plane.
  • Wipe off fine sanding dust and apply a premium wall primer prior to executing decorative paint or texture finishes.
